Description

As Sortes expresses Rafael Palacios's connection with Godello and the vineyards of the Bibei valley at Santa Cruz do Bolo. Small high-altitude parcels on the valley's northern slopes root in infertile granitic sands, a defining element of the wine's identity. The selection of older vineyards and attention to the relationship between climate and soil accompany an approach that includes fermentation and ageing in wood. The cuvée is devoted to its place of origin, interpreting Godello through the mountainous landscape of this particular part of Valdeorras rather than through variety alone.
