Sorte O Soro comes from a single terraced Godello parcel at Santa Cruz do Bolo in the Bibei valley. Planted in 1978, it stands at 710 metres above sea level and faces southwest, receiving a constant breeze that helps shape the balance between ripeness and freshness. Its granite-derived soil contains fine sands and quartz, elements Rafael Palacios associates with the wine's savoury character. Traditional vineyard work includes animal traction and biodynamic practices. Fermentation and maturation in barrel complete a cuvée focused on the particular qualities of this precisely defined place.
