Description

Riecine Chianti Classico comes from Sangiovese grown in the hills of Gaiole, on clay and limestone soils between four hundred and fifty and five hundred metres above sea level. Hand harvesting includes selection both in the vineyard and at the sorting table. Gentle destemming precedes fermentation in concrete, while maturation uses vessels chosen to respect the fruit, including previously used wood and concrete. The producer emphasises natural elegance and a pleasing austerity, placing the character of Sangiovese and the wine's hillside origins at the centre of this interpretation of Chianti Classico.
