Description

Ripa della Volta’s 2017 Amarone della Valpolicella is a full-bodied red from the Romagnano area in Valpantena. Made mainly from Corvina and Corvinone with Rondinella, Oseleta and Turchetta, the grapes undergo a period of drying before fermentation. Aged about three years in Slavonian oak and French barriques, it offers concentrated red and dark fruit, balsamic and eucalyptus notes, firm tannins and a long, spicy finish.
