Description

Crichët Pajé comes from the upper part of the Pajé hillside in the heart of Barbaresco and represents one of the Roagna family's most personal explorations. Its Piedmontese name refers to that position; Giovanni began selecting the site, and Alfredo introduced the wine commercially with the 1978 vintage. Nebbiolo from old vines grows in particularly limestone-rich soil. Extended maturation reflects the intention to allow the wine to develop slowly. The family regards it as the pinnacle of its interpretation of complexity and longevity, with the vineyard remaining central to its identity.
