Montefico Vecchie Viti comes from the small parcel the Roagna family has owned since 1929 in the heart of the cru's amphitheatre, facing towards Neive. The vineyard forms a southeast-facing triangle on clay-limestone soils with a significant marl component. Old Nebbiolo vines provide the foundation of this selection, identified as Vecchie Viti since the 2007 harvest. Production remains very limited, and extended maturation in wood and concrete supports the aim of expressing its origin clearly. It is a particularly close reflection of Roagna's relationship with one of its longest-held historic vineyards.
