Description

Montemarzino is Roagna's project devoted to Timorasso from the Colli Tortonesi. The east-facing vineyard lies around four hundred and fifty metres above sea level on soils of Tortonian origin, with massal selection preserving its vine heritage. In the cellar, whole grapes spend a short time in the press, and the must is allowed to oxidise before fermentation with indigenous yeasts in wood. Subsequent ageing on lees serves the aim of producing a white capable of extended development. The wine brings together an indigenous variety, a precise location and a deliberately patient approach to vinification.
