Description

Il Cerreto is Roberto Voerzio’s Barbera d’Alba from vineyards in La Morra with eastern and western exposures. The cuvée was first harvested in 2003. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, while maturation combines oak vessels of different sizes, followed by a further period in steel. Its preparation belongs to the estate’s approach of spontaneous fermentation and bottling without filtration. Through this wine, Barbera receives an individual interpretation within the estate’s range, based on vineyard work and close control of the amount of fruit produced by each vine.
