Description

Roberto Voerzio’s Barolo Fossati is made entirely from Nebbiolo associated with the Fossati vineyard, near La Serra, at around 350 metres in elevation. Its soils combine light clay with a widespread presence of small stones. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, while maturation uses oak vessels of different sizes before rest in steel and bottle. The cuvée belongs to the estate’s single-vineyard selections. Vineyard work based on restricted yields accompanies a winemaking approach that keeps this particular origin distinct within the producer’s range of Barolo wines.
