Roberto Voerzio’s Barolo Torriglione is made entirely from Nebbiolo grown in south-facing vineyards. The cuvée’s first harvest was in 2000. Vineyard management combines high planting density with restricted yields per vine. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by the estate’s practice of oak maturation after malolactic fermentation. Bottling without filtration concludes the process. Torriglione therefore expresses a specific origin within the estate’s collection of Barolo wines, through attention to vineyard work and a winemaking approach that maintains the separation between its different site selections.
