Description

Roccolo Grassi’s Amarone della Valpolicella is a full-bodied, soft-textured red wine with an intense ruby color. It is produced from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and a small portion of Croatina, with grapes subjected to traditional natural drying (appassimento). Aromas include cherry and small red fruits, prune, spices, tobacco and aromatic herbs; the palate is rich, rounded and persistent. The wine undergoes maturation in oak (barriques and larger casks) before bottling and further bottle ageing.
