Description
Rodaro Paolo’s Schioppettino Romain highlights a Friulian grape grown on estate land at Cividale del Friuli. Ponca soils, composed of marl and sandstone, and Guyot training define the vineyard setting. For the 2019 vintage, the grapes overripened naturally in small crates in a drying room before fermentation in stainless steel and maturation in French oak barriques. The aromatic profile includes green and pink pepper, blackberry, blueberry and floral suggestions, with nuances of fruit and walnut liqueur. The palate is warm and enveloping, supported by a long finish that extends its aromatic character.
