Description

Ronchi di Cialla’s Ciallarosso combines Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Schioppettino, two historic Friulian varieties cultivated by the Rapuzzi family. The grapes come from the estate’s Cjastenet and Roncj vineyards in the Cialla valley at Prepotto, with southerly exposures and marl-based soils. Fermentation in stainless steel uses indigenous yeasts and includes contact with the skins. The wine then matures in cask before further bottle ageing. The blend sits alongside the domaine’s single-variety wines, retaining its connection to local grapes and the vineyards of the valley.
