Ronchi di Cialla’s Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso di Cialla comes from the Rapuzzi family’s Roncjs vineyard on the hills of Prepotto. A south-southeast exposure and Eocene marl and marly sandstone soils define its origin. Selective hand harvesting precedes vinification with native yeasts and extended maceration, followed by maturation in oak and bottle. The producer describes cherry, blackberry jam and spice, with touches of graphite. The palate is broad and warm, supported by sweet-toned tannins and substantial structure, bringing together the wine’s fruit character and its underlying strength.
