Collio Cjarandon

Description

Cjarandon is Ronco dei Tassi’s red wine from its namesake vineyard near Cormòns, in the Collio. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc form its varietal identity. The soil consists of marl and sandstone of Eocene origin, while grapes from this single vineyard are harvested and vinified together. Maturation takes place in French oak vessels of different sizes and ages before further rest in bottle. First produced with the 1994 harvest, Cjarandon represents the estate’s red-wine tradition and its connection with this specific hillside origin within the Collio landscape.
