In the 2024 vintage, Ronco del Gnemiz’s Chardonnay Ronco Basso combines two young-vine parcels at San Giovanni al Natisone, one facing south and the other southwest. The soils combine ponca and clay in the Friuli Colli Orientali setting. Fermentation takes place in barriques, and the wine matures in wood for ten months, with a proportion of new barrels. Its profile suggests white fruit, smoke, spices and almond, showing the contribution of oak. Freshness accompanies a defined texture, while a milky nuance on the finish completes this expression of Chardonnay.
