In the 2024 vintage, Ronco del Gnemiz’s Chardonnay Sol comes from old, east-facing vines at San Giovanni al Natisone in Friuli Colli Orientali. The ground is characterised by ponca, the local marl formation. Sol identifies an estate selection that retains the separate origin of its grapes. Fermentation and maturation take place in barriques, including some new oak, with time on the lees. The aromatic profile combines pear and yellow peach with cream and toasted nuts. The fruit has a fine texture and full substance, supporting the wine’s progression across the palate.
