Description

Ronco Severo’s 2022 Friulano comes from vines rooted in ponca, the marl soil characteristic of the Friulian hills. The vineyard was planted in 1972 and is trained using the cappuccina system, with two downward-curved canes. Hand harvesting into crates includes selection of the grapes in the vineyard. In the glass, its intense yellow colour combines green and golden highlights, while the nose recalls wildflowers. The palate is dry, soft and fresh, with a recognisable bitter-almond nuance. It forms part of Stefano Novello’s work in Prepotto, interpreting the varieties of the local tradition.
