Description

Vecchie Vigne is Roncùs Collio Bianco, made from Malvasia Istriana, Tocai Friulano and Ribolla Gialla. It comes from the historic vineyards of Capriva del Friuli, on hills characterised by marl soils. The vineyards have grass cover and are cultivated organically, with grapes harvested by hand. Brief maceration precedes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and complete malolactic fermentation. Maturation continues in large oak casks and subsequently in stainless steel on the lees. The wine brings the three local varieties together through a patient production process, with an emphasis on elegance and the capacity for ageing.
