Description
Il Boscorosso in Villa de Puppi’s Rosa Bosco range is a Merlot from the hills of Manzano. The vines are trained to Guyot on marl soils of Eocene origin. Bunch thinning precedes hand harvesting, followed by further selection in the cellar. Production includes malolactic fermentation and extended maturation in French oak barriques, with lees stirring. Light filtration takes place before bottling. The cuvée interprets Merlot through rigorous selection of the fruit and prolonged cellar work, within the winemaking project founded on Rosa Bosco’s experience and now based at the de Puppi estate.
