Description

R de Ruinart 2016 brings together Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier, sourced mainly from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. The year was marked by strong contrasts, with spring frost and rain followed by a hot, dry summer. After hand harvesting, the wines ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel and undergo malolactic fermentation. At least six years on lees contribute to the final balance. The house describes ripe yellow fruit and exotic nuances, with richness and freshness finding a harmonious expression in the finished champagne.
