Description

Russiz Superiore Ribolla Gialla comes from Capriva del Friuli, in the hills of the Collio. Guyot-trained vines grow on alternating layers of marl and sandstone of Eocene origin. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo brief temperature-controlled maceration before pressing. Fermentation takes place mainly in stainless steel, with a portion in Slavonian oak; work with the lees includes frequent bâtonnage. Its profile combines citrus and tropical fruit with hints of rosemary, spicy smoke and toasted nuts. The palate retains freshness alongside a persistent savoury character, reflecting both the grape and the cellar approach.
