Description

Salicutti’s Brunello di Montalcino Piaggione is a red Brunello di Montalcino DOCG made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the estate's Piaggione cru at roughly 420–450 m elevation. The estate follows organic/biodynamic practices, with hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentation and extended ageing in wooden barrels. The wine typically shows structure, red-fruit and floral notes and fine tannins that reflect the vineyard’s calcareous, fossil-rich soils.
