Description
Salwey’s Oberrotweil Grauburgunder RS is a dry Pinot Gris from the Kaiserstuhl in Baden. RS denotes the Reserve Salwey selection and accompanies the reference to the village of Oberrotweil. The grapes are harvested by hand and processed through spontaneous fermentation; time in wood and contact with the lees form part of the cuvée’s approach. The vineyard landscape alternates loess and soils of volcanic origin. The wine’s structure retains a recognisable phenolic component, contributing to texture and persistence. It is an interpretation of the variety centred on substance, dryness and origin.
