Description

Ugolforte is Tenuta San Giorgio’s Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, made entirely from Sangiovese grown in Castelnuovo dell'Abate. The grapes come from vineyards at 250–400 m elevation and are farmed organically; fermentation takes place in oak and cement vats with extended maceration. The wine is aged 36 months in Slavonian oak casks (30–50 hl) and displays firm yet silky tannins, lively acidity and aromas of violet and small red and black fruits.
