Description

The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino "Podernovi" is produced by Marilisa Allegrini at the San Polo estate in Montalcino. It is a single-vineyard cru made from 100% Sangiovese and matured for about 30 months in Slavonian oak casks. Aromas include red and dark fruit with floral and spice hints; the palate shows fine tannins, lively acidity and a persistent finish. The wine is sourced from a small-production site on mineral-rich galestro and clay soils.
