The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva of San Polo, Marilisa Allegrini's estate, comes from the best bunches of the eight-hectare San Polo vineyard on calcium-rich clay. It matures 36 months in French oak tonneaux and small casks, then in bottle. The 2018 is warm and intense, with violet, dried rose, cherry jam, spice, coffee and tobacco.
