Vignavecchia is the single-vineyard Brunello of San Polo, Marilisa Allegrini's Montalcino estate, from a vineyard on stony, galestro-rich soil. After hand harvesting and berry selection it matures about 30 months in French oak tonneaux and at least six months in bottle. The 2020 combines power and grace, with violet, herbs, red fruits and plum.
