Description

Mario Schiopetto, recognisable by the large M on its label, is the white dedicated to the founder of the Capriva del Friuli estate. It comes from a vineyard planted in 1954 by the Curia of Gorizia, with Friulano and a small Riesling component. The south-facing parcel grows on hillside marl of Eocene origin. Harvesting is manual and vinification takes place in stainless steel, also used for maturation before the wine rests in bottle. Released in suitable vintages, it brings together Friulano’s local identity and Riesling’s contribution within the distinctive approach of the house.
