Description
The Sauvignon in Mario Schiopetto’s line is a Collio DOC first produced in 1972. The winery traces the variety’s journey from Sauternes and Bordeaux in France to the hills of Friuli. Gentle pressing is followed by settling of the must, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel and maturation on the lees. In the producer’s general profile, delicate floral notes combine with exotic fruit and citrus. The palate brings together mint and nettle, tropical accents and a saline element, forming an enveloping expression of the grape.
