Schloss Gobelsburg’s Ried Lamm is a Kamptal Grüner Veltliner associated with the southeastern foot of the Heiligenstein. Here the slope becomes gentler, and the soil combines loam with material eroded from the hill, including red siltstone of Permian origin. A southern exposure and good ventilation complete the vineyard setting. The wine matures in large casks made from Manhartsberg oak. In the estate’s presentation, this origin supports a personality combining power and elegance, preserving the connection between the grape variety and the particular place where it grows.
