Description

The Vaio Armaron 2017 from Serego Alighieri is an Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG sourced from the eponymous Vaio Armaron vineyard in Gargagnago (Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella). It is made from the region’s traditional grapes — Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara — using the appassimento (drying) method customary for Amarone. It uses the Serego Alighieri Molinara clone and is aged in cherry-wood barrels. The typical varietal breakdown reported for the 2017 release is approximately 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 10% Molinara.
