Description
Raupo Creek Pinot Noir expresses Seresin’s namesake vineyard in Marlborough’s Omaka Valley. The fruit comes from a north-facing slope with clay-based soils and a contribution of windblown silt. Higher ground is more exposed and drier, reaching ripeness earlier. The estate’s account of production includes destemming, spontaneous fermentation and extended skin contact after fermentation has finished. Its general description combines dark fruit and warm spice with a silky, generous texture. A clear, fresh acidity runs through that richness, giving the wine a distinct balance within Seresin’s single-vineyard Pinot Noir range.
