Description

The Sorpasso Carema Vigne Alte 2020 is a red wine from a single vineyard in Airale, trained on pergola across stone terraces. It is made roughly 90% from Nebbiolo (Picotendro) with the remainder from riper clusters of Ner d'Ala, Neretto and Erbaluce; fermentation includes an extended maceration (around 40 days) and maturation takes place in used wood and partly in ceramic. Soils are sandy and stony with a south–southwest exposure; the wine is produced only in select vintages and its first vintage was 2020.
