Los Yesares brings together old ungrafted vineyards in the Pedreras-Reventones area, high above Fuente-Álamo in Jumilla. Steep slopes, different exposures and Mediterranean woodland define the landscape, while the soils include weathered limestone, marine-shell sands and outcrops of flint. Monastrell is the principal grape, accompanied by Moravia Agria and other traditional varieties. Hand harvesting precedes spontaneous fermentation in wood and maturation in used French oak barrels. The winery highlights a taut character with suggestions of small red berries and Mediterranean scrub, placing the surrounding landscape at the centre of the wine's expression.
