Description

Le Clos de l'Orme highlights Sylvain Cathiard's heritage of old vines in Chambolle-Musigny: most of the parcel dates from 1935, alongside a younger planting. The Pinot Noir is grown using sustainable and organic practices, then destemmed before a cold pre-fermentation maceration. Indigenous yeasts carry out fermentation, followed by maturation in barrels. Bottling without fining or filtration completes an approach intended to retain the identity of the fruit. This site-specific cuvée provides an opportunity to explore Chambolle within the range of a family estate rooted in neighbouring Vosne-Romanée.
