Description

Sylvain Cathiard's Vosne-Romanée is made from Pinot Noir plantings dating from 1945 to 1985. That vineyard history is supported by sustainable and organic practices in the vines and a carefully defined sequence in the cellar. The fruit is destemmed and cold-macerated, with fermentation entrusted to indigenous yeasts. Maturation in oak barrels precedes bottling without fining or filtration. The cuvée offers an introduction to the village appellation through the family's approach, keeping the origin of the grapes and the estate's established vineyard heritage at the centre of the wine's identity.
