Description

Sylvain Pataille's white Marsannay brings together Chardonnay and Chardonnay Rose from five village parcels, including Blungeys and Clos du Roy. The vineyards contain vines of different ages, from post-war plantings to more recent additions. Pressing takes place in a vertical press, and fermentation uses indigenous yeasts. Maturation continues in oak barrels, mostly previously used, with restrained sulphur additions at bottling. The blend offers a collective interpretation of white Marsannay, placing the complementary vineyard origins at the centre of the cuvée and preserving the distinct role of this white in the domaine's range.
