Sylvain Pataille’s Marsannay Rosé “Fleur de Pinot” is a Marsannay AOC rosé from the Côte de Nuits. It is made mainly from Pinot Noir with a portion of Pinot Beurot (the local name for Pinot Gris, rendered here as Pinot Grigio), using a mix of direct pressing and short skin contact, followed by ageing in large, older barrels. The wine shows a savory, fresh character with vivid raspberry fruit, mineral acidity and light tannins, and will benefit from some bottle age.
