Sylvie Esmonin's Vieilles Vignes cuvée brings together several parcels of old Pinot Noir in Gevrey-Chambertin. Clay and limestone soils and the heritage of the vines provide the starting point for a wine of generous substance. Grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in open wooden vats before maturation in oak. The general profile combines intense berry fruit with toasted nuances, offering a round, rich palate supported by tannic texture. This selection expresses the more concentrated side of the family's village Gevrey, retaining depth and a clearly defined character throughout.
