Description

Tenuta Bastonaca’s Etna Bianco comes from Contrada Piano dei Daini at Solicchiata, on the volcano’s northern slope. Carricante grows here as bush vines on sandy soils of lava origin, at around 700 metres, in a setting with marked day-to-night temperature changes. Manual selection of the bunches and gentle pressing precede fermentation in stainless steel. Maturation on the fine lees also takes place in steel, before a period in bottle. Broom, mango and hints of honey form the aromatic profile, while the palate retains freshness, savoury depth and a long persistence.
