Description

The Terre di Casole Sangiovese “Macchie” 2020 from Tenuta delle Macchie is a pure Sangiovese produced in Casole d’Elsa (Siena) under the Terre di Casole DOC. Grapes come from the small cru called “Osteria delle Macchie” on volcanic, slightly sandy soils; selected Sangiovese clones are used. Vinification includes fermentation in stainless steel, malolactic in wood and oak aging (reported up to 18 months), aimed at expressing the varietal character within the local terroir.
