Description

Tenuta delle Terre Nere’s Etna Bianco “Cuvée delle Vigne Niche — Calderara Sottana” is a single-vineyard Etna Bianco D.O.C. made from 100% Carricante. The vines are located in the Calderara Sottana contrada on Mount Etna’s north slope at 600–650 m above sea level, planted on very stony volcanic soils. Fermentation and ageing take place in 10-hectoliter barrels; production is limited and the wine has long ageing potential.
