Description

Santo Spirito Bianco expresses Carricante from its namesake contrada in Castiglione di Sicilia, on Etna’s northern slope. The vineyards lie between approximately 700 and 750 metres, on deep, loose soils rich in volcanic ash. The selection grew from the separate vinifications through which Tenuta delle Terre Nere explores the character of individual sites. Fermentation and maturation in oak casks accompany a white with an open, floral bouquet and lively freshness. Aromatic finesse is joined by structure and complexity, qualities that support its ability to develop over time while retaining the personality of its origin.
