Description

The Etna Bianco Santo Spirito “Cuvée delle Vigne Niche” from Tenuta delle Terre Nere is an Etna Bianco D.O.C. made from grapes grown in the Santo Spirito vineyard in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia. It is produced as a single-varietal wine from 100% Carricante cultivated on volcanic, ash-rich soils on Mount Etna’s northern slope. Winemaking includes gentle pressing and fermentation in French oak barrels (5–10 hl), followed by malolactic fermentation and roughly nine months of aging in wood. The wine shows mineral-driven character and pronounced freshness typical of high-altitude sites (above 700 m).
