Description

Lodovico comes from its namesake vineyard in the Bellaria area of Bibbona, where cooling night winds support grape ripening and the retention of acidity. Cabernet Franc leads the blend, joined by other Bordeaux varieties according to the harvest. The soils combine clay and Bolgheri conglomerate. After grape selection and destemming, fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by maturation in French oak barriques. The project favours limited production and a balance intended to develop over time, making this wine a closely defined interpretation of its vineyard and of Lodovico Antinori's original vision.
