Description

Flaccianello della Pieve is Fontodi’s pure Sangiovese, drawn from a selection of the estate’s best vineyards and presented as Colli Toscana Centrale IGT. It comes from Panzano in Chianti, where Fontodi lies in the Conca d’Oro valley. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration in stainless steel precede maturation in French oak. The wine centres on Sangiovese and its place of origin, with gravity-assisted cellar work designed to respect the integrity of the grapes.
