Description

Sassicaia is Tenuta San Guido's red wine from Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast, made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Its name recalls the stones and pebbles in the estate's soils, where limestone, marl and clay contribute to the diversity of its vineyards. Created through Mario Incisa della Rocchetta's vision, it was originally reserved for family and friends; the first commercially released vintage was 1968.
