Description

Goleto takes its name from the Irpinian abbey founded in the twelfth century by Saint William, whose entrance also inspires the label. The wine comes from Greco grown around San Paolo in Tufo, in the Cicogna, Laura and Nassano districts, near the old sulphur mines. The vineyards lie between approximately 300 and 400 metres and are harvested by hand. After fermentation in stainless steel, maturation is divided between oak and amphora, followed by a period in bottle. This selection brings together local memory, a precise choice of vineyards and a patient approach to ageing.
