Description

Terrazzi Alti Sassella Riserva is a Valtellina Superiore (Sassella subzone) produced by Terrazzi Alti (Siro Buzzetti). It is made mainly from Nebbiolo (locally known as Chiavennasca) with a small share of native varieties such as Rossola and Pignola; the Riserva is produced from selected parcels, undergoes extended maceration and is aged in large oak casks followed by more than one year of bottle ageing. The vineyards are planted on terraced slopes at roughly 420–600 m above sea level and are managed according to the producer’s organic farming principles.
